I guess it's pretty natural, since Allen and I both love to read and our house is full of books, but Liam LOVES books. Not just for chewing on either (although that is one of the things he thinks they're good for). He also likes to look at the pictures - sometimes even with the book right side up. His favorite way to interact with a book, though is to have someone read it to him. At the moment when we finish reading a book he takes it from our hands and pushes it back at us, not satisfied until we go back to the beginning and read it all again.
The book we read the most often is Little Quack's Bedtime. I literally have this book memorized word for word, which comes in handy when sleep is eluding our little guy. This is the best book we ever got free out of a box of Cheerios.
I'm also glad that the library has a collection of board books, although I have to admit that I expected board books to be a little more impervious to chewing than they are. I'm hoping that the library will be understanding about a little damage.
