Games Will Wrap It Up

Seventh and final vacation post.

 Local friends came for a day of hiking and game playing the first Saturday we were there.

 Deron and Robyn came all the way from Boston the following Sunday.

 Devin made some new friends.

 Mice and Mystics was a fun choice.

 But there was a little angst.

 The playing pieces are super fun.

 Settlers of Catan was just one of the games Liam learned this year.  It's also one of my favorites.

 Devin took a 20 minute lap nap and then joined us for the rest of the game.

 Which involved a little parent/baby juggling.

Time flew by all too quickly!

Water Fun

Sixth vacation post.  I grabbed a few shots from Rob's Facebook feed to round out our pictures.

 Echo Lake.

Devin is in the shallower water.

I am walking out to the deeper water of the lake.  Mommy and Daddy are helping me.

I did not like swimming very well.  I only liked running up and down in the water.  I liked that because it made big splashes.  It was hard to do but I was kind of good at it.

 I am warming up with Mommy and Devin.

 We are at Cascade Brook on a bridge.

 I am getting ready to climb up rocks.

 I slid down in this like it was a slide.  Then I am jumping up and down in it.  It is a hole in the rock that filled with water and now the water is spinning.  I took my shirt off so I wouldn't get it wet.

 We are not in the major part of the brook. 

Rob's Band and a Moose

Fifth vacation post.

 This is Rob's bandstand.  Rob is in a band.  He plays that tuba.  He's the one in the purple shirt.  We go all the nights that it is open to listen to the band.  But we do not go on Wednesday nights.

 This is Rob.

 A song just finished.  I forgot to clap.  But Devin and Mommy were clapping.

 I am walking around the bandstand on the sidewalk.  It had rained before we did the band.  So that's why the sidewalks are darkening up.

 Rob's concerts were one time when we got to visit with his parents.

 Rob's dad operates the camera to get videos of the performances.

 That kind of looks like a horse from far away, but it is a moose.

It's standing in the yard outside the house we were staying in.

 This is me pushing Devin around the walkway around the bandstand.

These pictures were taken at the second concert we went to this year.

 I am trying to scoot myself along on the sidewalk in the stroller.  It is funny, don't you think?  Hee hee hee hee.

In the Park and By the River by Liam and Mommy

Fourth vacation post.  One Saturday morning I took the boys to a local park by the river.

I am in the plane.  It looks like a jail, but it is really a plane.  I am at the park.

While Liam played with his new friend Devin tried out the swing.  He liked it pretty well and I had a chance to take lots of pictures.

 My friend and I are walking onto the bandstand.  I forget my friend's name.  I saw her in the park and then we started playing a game. 

Liam is embarrassed to tell what game they were playing.  I was taking care of Devin most of the time and didn't hear everything, but from what I caught it had something to do with her older brother being a zombie.  They went to their secret base to discuss how they could turn her brother into a good creature that would not be a threat to them.  They tried a couple of times, but somehow he always ended up as some kind of thing that they needed to run from.

 I am stuck in jail, with my friend.  That's how we started out playing the game after we got out of the plane.  We ran to jail.  I tried to get out of jail, but I couldn't.

 Here is us trying to make something that will turn her brother good.  Those are my three secret trees.

 There is my friend's brother on top of the plane.  He is trying to get to the windshield so he can do stuff.  I drive upside down so I can shake the plane when he is up there.  Then he says "Ah!" and falls off.  We have jet packs, but he doesn't.  That is the funny part.  When he says, "Ah!"  My friend and I laugh.

 Devin was just starting to crawl on all fours about this time.  The grass was a little wet, but he wasn't easily deterred.

 I am laughing at Devin.  He has my hat and his hat.  I think he is saying, "What are you laughing about?"  And I am still laughing.

 We are at a trail by the river where we throw rocks.  We were looking for a better place to throw rocks.  We found one, but it was very far away.

 I am throwing a rock.  You cannot really see it, but I am still throwing a rock.

I am about to throw a giant rock.  SPLASH!
