We took Liam to the pediatrician yesterday for his one year check-up. He's fine as far as height and weight go and in every other way they checked. He's up to 21 pounds and 30 inches.
He's been pulling up on all kinds of things this week and taking small steps to get from one object to another. He is pretty hesitant about this, though and always makes sure he's holding on to something. He can get back down on the floor after standing up, but if I'm nearby he prefers to get help.
His new words are "hi" and "wow." He's very cute when he says wow and will repeat it back if someone says it to him. He's also taken to yelling loudly (no words, just noise) when he wants something. This is usually accompanied by hand flapping, which obviously has a specific meaning in his mind, but I just have to guess what it is.
Today we went shopping and bought him a winter wardrobe. For some reason you have very few choices on jammies for 18 month olds. We're going to have to improvise.
