We started our day at the county fair by checking out the cow barn. It wasn't long before the "mooing" had Devin a little rattled.
He also wasn't too impressed with the pigs. You don't really realize how noisy pigs in a barn can be until you have a baby with you who's never heard them before.
Liam: The pig is eating.
The baby animal barn was quieter.
I really liked the baby cats.
The hatching chicks are always fun.
The baby chicks were really cute, but they were still wet.
Here are more baby chicks and I think where you can't see is ducks. Devin really likes the chicks.
The bunnies were fun too.
But they were in the same barn as the poultry, which was too loud.
Then we met up with a friend who had two bunnies in the fair and Liam got to pet them
and give them snacks.
The old caboose was locked.
Liam got to play the triangle to call the cowboys in for supper. No one came.
We were going to go home for lunch, but I saw some corn on the cob, so Liam had that instead.
Then we heard over that loudspeaker that someone from NASA was doing a presentation about Mars rovers, so we headed to that. Of course Liam wanted to volunteer. He got to have Christmas one less time than the little girl who was on earth - he was on Mars where the years are twice as long.
Later everyone who wanted to lay down so the rover could drive over them.
They moved the tractors this year, but it turned out they were right by the tent that had the presentation.
Liam wanted a picture showing that he found a tire that was as high as he was.
Finally Liam and Allen went to do rides while Devin and I went home for a nap.
Liam met up with a friend for lots of the rides.
He went on the Ferris wheel with Daddy.
He hated this ride.
A street magician got them into the act.
Devin and I came back for the last few rides.
