Devin and Mommy Go to the Zoo

Devin and I went to the zoo.  We were a little rushed because... life.  It's probably worth noting that the GPS has no idea where the zoo parking lot is - even if it is kind of embarrassing that I don't know how to drive to the zoo after all these years.  But we did get to see lots of animals.  It's just a coincidence that Devin's wearing the same shirt he was in the last post.  He has worn others in between.

He wasn't too sure about the polar bears.

The hat made a good hiding place.

Lots of animals were more active than they have been for other visits - including the sloth.

I'm really bad at taking selfies.  And the sloth wouldn't face the camera.

The tiger was actually roaring, which is something tigers don't really get credit for.

Another zoo patron took this picture, so I can prove I really was there.

Even the rhino was doing something besides standing around imitating a rock.  He (or she) was munching on some leaves.

The new aquarium is pretty cool, although I'm not too excited about the fact that they don't allow strollers.  Devin enjoyed being able to get up close and personal with the fish.  He got kind of freaked out, though, by the tank that had a couple of divers in it.  They had on full scuba gear and were cleaning the tank.  He started using his hat to hide again - this time very deliberately.

We made it home in time for a nap, but that didn't work out the way I was hoping.  On the whole, though, it was a nice trip with sunshine and breezes.
