Two Month Pics and Appointment

So Sunday Devin was two months old.  I did get a few pictures of him for remembering.

He had his two month doctor's appointment today.  Everything looks fine.  He weighs 12 pounds three ounces, so he has almost doubled his birth weight.  I think they said he was 24 inches long.  These are all "average" measurements according to the doctor, but he feels huge to me.  We're going to have to go up to the next size of clothes soon. 

We started vaccinations for Devin today.  We're using a modified schedule that spaces them out more and puts some off until later.  I'm not looking for a discussion of the wisdom or folly of vaccinating at the moment.  Just saying that the whole issue makes me nervous and this modified schedule gives me slightly more peace of mind.

I've decided to go ahead and try dairy again, but I'm going to wait a few days to let any possible effects from the vaccines pass.  I talked to someone from the local La Leche League and that's what she recommended (trying it again.)  I also found out that LLL has a meeting once a month here in hometown, so I am thinking of checking that out next month.

I don't know if it's the hormone change or if I'm getting a little more rest, but sometimes I actually feel like I'm going to survive this crazy-hard exhausting time.  Then the fatigue hits me again and the feeling of survivableness fades and the desperation is harder to take than it was before.  Sorry to sound so melodramatic, but that's the scoop. 

Liam was looking at some pictures on Facebook lately and since I'm trying to limit his screen time I got out some actual prints from the last few years.  He had fun sorting through them and categorizing them.  Then today I got into some of the pictures and albums from when he was a baby.  For some crazy reason I actually started working on a couple of his baby albums.  It reminds me that although that time was different there were many similarities and I/we made it through to easier, funner times.  So here's hoping all the stories I keep telling Liam about how Mommy will be less tired when Devin gets older and we will all have lots of fun together are true!
